Since its establishment in the year 2014, the Mother Mary Children of Ghana Aid Foundation (MMCGAF) has touched and brought significant transformation to the lives of many children who otherwise would have dropped out of school and possibly have fallen victim to the numerous societal dangers many vulnerable children face especially in developing countries including child labor, child trafficking, and teenage pregnancy and so on.

Some of the life-changing projects in the form of humanitarian and educational aid to these communities that over the past ten years have significantly transformed the lot of several impoverished children and their families.

Donations over the past ten years have enabled MMGAF to provide a six-room bathroom for students and staff in 2019; and offer at least one meal a day to the children some of whom often come to school on empty stomachs and would only go home after school for a meal

The Computer Laboratory project which was started in the year 2017 was completed in 2023. Thus teaching and learning of IT courses is taken to another level, a significant game changer to education in the district. Also, adequate school supplies such as Backpacks, shoes, books etc. and other teaching and learning aid are provided for students and teachers in the six rural communities we serve.
 

The board of directors of MMCGAF took a decision in 2022 to start a nursery project mainly to serve the needs of several single mothers and parents to leave their young babies at the nursery instead of bringing them to their work place including the farms. While offering these babies a safe shelter, the nursery would also offer them basic education as they receive a free meal each day. This nursery was completed in 2024 and we are glad to announce that the “MOTHER MARY NURSERY” is now open! And serving about 20 children or families since it opened. 

Additionally, from your donations, MMCGAF started a library project for the community last year. Work is swiftly in progress. Currently, the Library building structure is completed and has been roofed. It is now left with painting and making of the wooden shelves for the library to be ready for use in the coming year.

Looking into the future, with your generous support MMCGAF hopes to provide a good playground for the nursery kids; introduce WIFI service to the computer laboratory and in the long term procure a school bus for these children whose parents walk a distance of not less than 3 miles to bring them to school or on public transport when they can afford.

With your continuous support more can be done to alleviate poverty and offer hope to many through education. I’m convinced that Together we can deliver Hope in our world of great need.

To achieve our set goal, MMCGAF will continue to rely on your generous support. Every year, many parents struggle to provide a little picture book, a new shirt or even a toy for their children. Let’s continue to show such children that God loves them as well.
